Recent Collaborations with Garrison Keillor and A Prairie Home Companion - 2024-2025
July, 2024 marked the 50th Anniversary of Garrison Keillor’s first broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion. Rich joined Garrison as keyboardist and music director for twenty 50th Anniversary shows around the USA. Various guest band members included legends like Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, and Howard Levy. Cast singers included Heather Masse, Christine DiGiallonardo and Metropolitan Opera star, Ellie Dehn.
In December of 2024, Rich joined Garrison and the full PHC cast for a Prairie Home Christmas tour. In summer of 2025, the full cast played more shows at beautiful venues like Tanglewood (Lenox, MA) the Santa Fe Opera, and the Strathmore ( Bethesda, MD). In addition, Rich continues to appear around the country with Garrison just as a duo, and also with Garrison and singer Heather Masse as a trio.
Rich will join Garrison and cast for an A Prairie Home Companion Christmas tour in December, 2025. Tour stops include the Town Hall in NYC , the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and the Austin City Limits’ Moody Theater.
COLLABORATIONS WITH GARRISON KEILLOR – 2022
Rich recorded piano music to introduce each chapter of three recent audio-books by Garrison Keillor: “The Lake Wobegon Virus”, “That Time of Year” and “Boom Town” (all available at GarrisonKeillor.com and Amazon/Audible.com)
Rich joined Garrison’s five A Prairie Home Companion American Revival shows in 2022. They brought together old friends and PHC collaborators (musicians, radio actors, sound effects wiz Fred Newman) in great venues including Town Hall in NYC, The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and The Fabulous Fox Theater in St. Louis. Special guests included Country star Brad Paisley, Nashville legends Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, and Stuart Duncan, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Elvin Bishop, Singers Aoife O’Donovan and Heather Masse, poet extraordinaire Billy Collins, and many others.

Early Al Jarreau Demo Release Project - 2021-2022
Rich Dworsky had the wonderful experience of playing and writing with the legendary Al Jarreau from 1970-1973. Now as a tribute to Al, who passed away in 2017, and as a gift to Al's adoring fans, Rich is releasing some demos that they recorded during that time but were never heard until now.

Just William - BBC Radio4 adds five new episodes - 2020-2025
Dworsky's piano piece “ Won’t You Be My Ginger?” has been used as the musical theme for the popular BBC radio series “ Just William” - Stories by Richmal Crompton read by legendary actor, Martin Jarvis (broadcast on BBC Radio4 and released as five CDs and as audiobooks on Audible.com ) . In May 2020, BBC Radio4 aired five new episodes of Martin Jarvis reading: “Just William - Pursuing Happiness” using Dworsky’s piano theme music.
Martin Jarvis appeared live in 2025 multiple readings Just William stories with Richard Dworsky’s “Won’t You Be My Ginger” as his theme music.
